Ms. Hull was a committed environmentalist interested in recycling, and open space. She established and endowed the Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award at the Garden Club of America. It recognizes one or more individuals "who, through working with children under sixteen years of age in horticulture and the environment has inspired their appreciation of the beauty and fragility of our planet." |
