Keeler Barn, Ridgebury Road. 5 responders and all trucks from headquarters. Page 27 -September 7, 1969 - General alarm at J. B. Blackman home, Bates Farm Road. Page 28 - September 28, 1969 - General alarm at Crest Road for fire at Ingram residence. Frame structure fully involved on arrival and exposure to North side smoking Fire put out. Page 33 - December 2, 1969 - General alarm at the home of Mario Panbia, Harding Drive. The cause was a defective washing machine. Page 47 - May 22, 1970 - General alarm at the home of John Kline, Woodland Way due to lightning. Page 53 - July 28, 1970 - General alarm at the Red Lion Restaurant. Under control so was returned to Station 2. Page 63 - November 6, 1970 - General alarm at the new high school site. Fire on roof tar paper and roof aflame. 5 staff responded. Page 69 - January 6, 1971 - General alarm at Cross Hill Road, Ridgefield Lakes, home of Joe Tammaro. Fire in bedroom in rear of home, Page 70 - January 15, 1971 - General alarm at 8 Bennetts Farm Road. Fire in attic and upstairs bedrooms. Page 72 - February 16, 1971 - General alarm at the home of Mr. Duchane on Scodon Drive. Page 73 -March 11, 1971 - Call from main fire station in town about a general alarm at the home of William Bettle, 761 North Ridgebury Road. Barn in rear on fire and two horses dead, and one got out. Fire contained to stall area. Page 84 - October 11, 1971 - General alarm for a hot electrical box. No needed. Page 91 - December 28, 1971 - General alarm at the Rhodes home, Sunset Road. Page 94 - February 17, 1972 - General alarm at the home of Art Capeci on Limestone Road. 16 paid staff and 20 volunteers responded. Page 94 - February 19, 1972 - General alarm reported at Bill Peatt's store on Mananasco Road. Two row boats were on fire. Page 104 - August 15, 1972 - General alarm at home of Mrs. Wheeler, Crest Road. Page 110 - November 19, 1972 - General alarm at the guest house of the Stonehenge Inn, Route 7. Fire in roof, second floor and forward bedroom. Initially went to scene and then assigned to main firehouse. Page 110 - November 22, 2972 - General alarm at the home of M. Jacoby, 25 Lakeview Drive. Page 111 - November 24, 1972 - General alarm at the Fox Hill Inn for a faulty hot water heater. Page 116 - February 6, 1973 - General alarm to downtown fire station to stand by for fire at the Harold Mills home, Ramapoo Road. Page 120 - March 24, 1973 - Brush fire at the McKeon Farm on Ridgebury Road. ½ acre burned. Page 120 - March 25, 1973 - General alarm for grass fire at the Ridgebury Golf Course. Page 125 - June 5, 1973 - General alarm at the corner of Route 35 and Limestone. Truck was not needed. Page 126 - June 13, 1973 - Truck went to the Spring Valley Road home of the Edelmans for a general fire. Fire was out when they arrived. Page 139 -December 24, 1973 - General alarm - for the MacDonald home on Aspen Ledges Road Page 140- January 8, 1974 - General alarm for home of Albert Stone, 7 Lisa Lane. House was gutted. _ Page 147 - March 27, 1974 - Two alarm grassfire at the intersection of New Road and Farmingville Road. Page 147 -April 1, 1974 - Report of heavy smoke near McKeon's Farm. Found to be smoke from a brush fire. Page 151 - May 28, 1974 - General alarm grass fire at Chipmunk Lane. 40 men in total responded. Page 159 - September 15, 1974 -General alarm at 88 Regan Road, home of Richard Smith. Living room was damaged. Page 162 - October 27, 1974 - General alarm to 33 Cherry Lane, the George LaChance home. Page 163 - November 4, 1974 - General alarm to 523 Ridgebury Road. Vacant house was totally involved. Miry Brook volunteers were also on the scene. Page 164 -November 24, 1974 - General alarm for state park between Mimosa and Twixt Hills - 4 acres burned. Page 166 - December 13, 1974 - General alarm at the Chute home, 330 Ridgebury Road. No fire, but spent time fumigating home. Page 168 - January 5, 1975 - General alarm at the Sabella home, 93 Tackora Trail. Page 170 - January 31, 1975 - General alarm at the McCrystal home on Bennetts Farm Road. Page 171 - March 8, 1975 - General alarm to 929 North Salem Road for a grass fire. Page 171 - March 14, 1975 - General alarm on Stony Hill Road. Page 174 - April 22, 1975 - Responded to McKeon Farm on Ridgebury Road for a small woods fire. Page 178 - July 13, 1975 - General alarm to Walter Serafin Residence, 397 Limestone Extension. Furnace malfunctioned. Page 181 - August 28, 1975 - Responded to the home of Maurice Sendak home on 200 Chestnut Hill Road for a fire caused by painters in outside wall. Page 183 - September 29, 1975 - Responded to a rescue call to the Edelman home where Dave had overturned his tractor and was pinned to the bridge abutment. Page 184 - October 3, 1975 - General alarm at the home of Mr. Walrapp, Spring Valley Road. Gas heater problem. Page 188 - December 8, 1975 - General alarm at the Tinker home on Shady Lane - a chimney fire. Page 189 - December 24, 1975 - General alarm at the William Oexle home on 792 Ridgebury Road where an oil burner ignition was faulty. Page 202 - June 30, 1976 - General alarm at the home of C. M. Black at 112 Nod Road. 27 men responded. Page 215 - December 6, 1976 - General alarm at the Anderson home, 607 Ridgebury Road 20 men responded. Page 215 - December 30, 1976 - General alarm fire at the home of Carmine Argenio, 264 North Salem Road. 40 men responded and 6 pieces of equipment. Page 226 - May 3, 1977 - General alarm at the home of Harry Sufgeat, Ridgewood Road. Page 231 August 12 and August 13, 1977 - two calls , one per day, to Chestnut Hill and Two Pence for an old building (one story home) on fire. Page 244 - December 29, 1977 - General alarm at 32 Chipmunk Lane. Page 246 - February 8, 1978 - House fire, general alarm at 263 Old Stagecoach Road (Ruchman Residence). Page 247 - February 13, 1978 - Van Lidthde Residence, 16 Short Lane. Page 266 - December 15, 1978 - General alarm at Tuttle residence, 312 North Street, 25 men responded. Page 268 - January 19, 1979 - General alarm at 36 Mimosa Circle. Page 270 - February 19, 1979 - Went to Boehringer Ingelheim, Shadow Lake Road, for an overheated hydraulic oil issue in the elevator system. Page 273 -April 23, 1979 - Went to Francis Martin property on route 116 for smoke in the area. Francis Martin was burning and was told to put the fire out. Page 282 - August 29, 1979 - General alarm at the home of Dr. Timpinelli, 90 Spring Valley Road. Out on arrival. Page 284 - September 6, 1979 - General alarm at the home of Edwin Swift on 9 Fulling Mill Lane. Page 284 - September 10, 1979 - General alarm, Craigmoor Road, smoke in house found to be from the chimney. Page 287 - September 23, 1979 - General alarm for house fire on Peaceable Street. Later responded to a structure fire on Casagmo property on Main Street. Page 291 - November 17, 1979 - General alarm on 197 Old Stagecoach Road (Clark residence). |
