Biographical Information |
Scope & Content |
1) Copy of a Press article from 1938, with picture, about Ms. Sylvia Blein's new New Street home, a Cape Cod type built by Cleveland Bassett (the article misspells her name as "Blaene"). Sylvia Blein was Geraldine Farrar's companion, and the home, at 40 New Street, is the one they both moved into when Ms. Farrar sold her Fair Haven on West Lane. 2) Photo of Ms. Farrar, autographed to Willis Boyce, father of item source Walter Boyce, and, as a resident at 28 New Street, one of her neighbors. Both Willis Boyce and his wife Lottie were well known in local musical circles. |
