Page 12 - February 6, 1971 - 11:11pm - Car fire at the home of John R. Ryan, 87 Remington Road. Car was a total loss. No foam in foam tank afterwards so the tank had to be refilled. Page 21 - March 11, 1971 - General alarm for barn fire at the William Dietel home, 761 North Ridgebury Road. Station 2 responded and extinguished blaze. 15 paid personnel and 20 volunteers responded plus all apparatus. Page 56 - July 1, 1971 - General alarm for fire at the home of Edwin Pearson home, West Mountain Road. 12 paid and 30 volunteers responded. At the time of this posting the fire was still under investigation. Page 59 - July 12, 1971 - General alarm for H and P Store found to be paper boxes thrown up on roof. 12 paid and 35 volunteers responded. Page 61 - July 19, 1971 - General alarm for fire at the M. A. Bigelow home, 78 Manor Road. Trash in barrel in garage. -7 paid and 10 volunteers responded. Page 62 - July 20, 1971 General alarm for house fire at Anderson home, 540 Ridgebury Road. Grease in a pot caught the stove on fire. 11 paid and 25 volunteers responded. Page 62 - July 21, 1971 - General alarm for fire at the Adams home on 228 Florida Hill Road. The fire was out in the cellar near the oil tank. 12 paid and 20 volunteers responded. Page 86 - October 11, 1971 - General alarm for fire at Fox Hill Rest. On Maplewood Road. Found main power line coming into the building had shorted out. Dingee Electric was there. 10 paid and 31 volunteers responded. Page 95 - November 9, 1971 - General alarm for fire at 151 Wilton Road East (Hart residence). Fire started in living room, cause unknown. 25 volunteers and 11 paid staff responded. Page 100 - November 23, 1971 - General alarm at 320 North Salem Road (the Rhine home). All paid staff and 25 volunteers responded. Page 109 - December 21, 1971 - General alarm at Lefferts residence at 85 New Street where oil burner blew up.20 volunteers and 7 paid staff responded. Page 111 - December 28, 1971 - General alarm at the Rohde residence, 12 Sunset Drive. Fire was in basement. Page 116 - January 15, 1972 - General alarm at 32 Cherry Lane (LaChance residence). Fire confined to bathroom. 19 volunteers and 10 paid staff responded. Page 117 - January 15, 1972 - General alarm at 153 Mimosa Circle (Sparks residence). Page 145 - April 3, 1972 - General alarm at the home of Ronald Joscelyn, 142 Peaceable Street. Oil burner back fired. 8 volunteers and 7 paid staff responded. Page 147 - April 9, 1972 - General alarm at the Joseph Kolf home, 47 Gilbert Street. Fire confined to attice bedroom and part of the roof. 30 volunteers and 12 paid staff responded. Page 150 - April 19, 1972 - General alarm on High Valley Way, brush fire, suspicious ignition. 23 volunteers and 12 paid staff responded. Page 161 - May 23, 1972 - General alarm at 31 Silver Spring. Lane (residence of George Ventres). The fire was in a shed at the rear of the home and was caused by a lawn mower. 29 volunteers and 12 paid staff responded. Page 204 - October 5, 1972 - General alarm at the home of Mrs. Henry Luck, 29 Farm Hill Road. Fire was in a bedroom closet. 25 volunteers and 12 paid staff responded. Page 205 - October 10, 1972 - General alarm for a propane truck accident on Route 7 and Florida Hill. 20 volunteers and 13 paid staff responded.
